Meet Maisie

Maisie has one of those faces that makes innocence look completely believable.

Big blue kitten eyes. A sweet white muzzle. A tiny pink nose. Soft white around her chin and chest. And an expression that seems to say, “Me? I would never.”

We don’t have any evidence to the contrary.

Yet.

Her coloring only adds to the effect. Warm red and copper sweep across her face beside darker tabby markings, while that bright white muzzle sits right in the middle of it all. Even her ears got involved—one wears considerably more dark coloring while the other carries warmer tones.

Apparently matching was not a requirement.

Then there are those eyes. Maisie can look up at you with those big baby blues and somehow give the impression that she has never had a mischievous thought in her entire life.

It’s a very convincing face.

We suspect it may eventually become a useful skill.

For now, Maisie is busy with the important things: eating, playing, exploring, growing, and stopping occasionally to look unbearably sweet.

If something eventually gets knocked over, dragged across the room, or mysteriously disappears, we already know what we’re going to see.

That face.

“Me?”

And we’re probably going to believe her.

Her Color & Markings

Tortoiseshell Tabby with White (Torbie with White)

Maisie’s professional color and pattern classification is tortoiseshell tabby with white, commonly called torbie with white.

Her coat combines red-based and black-based coloring with visible tabby patterning and areas of white spotting.

Maisie’s eyes are currently blue. Because kitten eye color can continue developing as she matures, she is listed as having possible blue eyes rather than guaranteed permanent blue eyes.

Temperament Starts at Home

At Ribbons and Bows Maine Coons, we believe temperament is one of the most important parts of raising a Maine Coon well.

Maisie is being raised underfoot in our home in Warsaw, Missouri, and around our daily business, where she is part of everyday life.

She is handled regularly, plays around us, follows our routines, and learns that people, household activity, affection, play, and gentle boundaries are all normal parts of her world.

That close, hands-on start helps prepare her to transition confidently into her new family.
