👑 The Ribbons & Bows Standard

Where every whisker tells a story and every tail is held high. Our commitment is simple: health, temperament, and socialization come first—because true royalty is raised, not made.

✨ Raising Royalty

We believe every royal dynasty begins with a strong foundation—ours is health. We are devoted to breeding the healthiest Maine Coons possible, because we know that a kitten’s story begins long before their first purr in your arms. While no living creature can be promised a life without illness, we ensure that each kitten’s journey begins with the very best start, rooted in exceptional care and robust health.

Our true competition? Not other breeders—it's ourselves. Every litter, we aim to raise kittens so healthy, so well-socialized, and so ridiculously lovable that you’ll wonder how you ever lived without a Maine Coon in your home. The result? A glorious feline who doesn’t just grace your home, but fills it—floor to ceiling—with joy, beauty, and a daily dose of “oh my goodness, look at them!” for years to come.

Proudly registered with TICA and CFA, we honor and uphold TICA’s and CFA’s Code of Ethics, ensuring our breeding practices reflect integrity, care, and excellence worthy of our regal breed

Where Royalty is Raised
At Ribbons & Bows, our kittens grow up in a home where “environment” means more than four walls and a food bowl. Think of it as a royal playground—sun-soaked windows for luxurious afternoon naps, towering cat trees for majestic climbs, and cozy nooks for those “I’m invisible” moments.

Our Maine Coon kittens have the run of safe, spacious areas designed for both play and rest. They learn the fine art of pouncing on feather toys, the strategic genius of hiding in boxes, and the lifelong joy of curling up in a warm lap. We keep their quarters spotless, well-ventilated, and filled with fresh bedding, because a royal palace must be both grand and clean.

Socialization isn’t an afterthought—it’s a daily event. Our kittens are handled, cuddled, and doted on from day one, learning to trust and love their human subjects. We keep their world calm, but stimulating—enough adventure to spark curiosity, and enough comfort to feel safe.

Here, there’s no overcrowding, no stress, and no cutting corners. Just happy, healthy kittens growing up with room to stretch, space to explore, and plenty of love to fill their little (and eventually very big) hearts.

Royal Health, Top to Tail
At Ribbons & Bows, our Maine Coon kings and queens don’t just get pampered—they get the royal medical treatment. Each cat sees a trusted veterinarian at least once a year (more often if they so much as sneeze sideways) to make sure they’re in peak condition for breeding.

We run a tight ship—and by “tight,” we mean a carefully crafted health program fit for feline royalty. Every breeding cat is genetically tested for the big three conditions known to affect the Maine Coon breed:

  • HCM – Hypertrophic Cardiac Myopathy (because a big heart should be about love, not trouble)

  • SMA – Spinal Muscular Atrophy (our cats should leap onto the fridge, not limp to the couch)

  • PKDef – Pyruvate Kinase Deficiency (because energy is for chasing toys, not struggling to breathe)

But we don’t stop at a DNA report. We go a step further—our breeding cats receive echocardiograms to ensure their hearts are not only strong but fit for a lifetime of purrs. And now, we’re adding hip X-rays to check for hip dysplasia, because a Maine Coon’s swagger should come from confidence, not discomfort.

Of course, you can’t have a healthy cat without a healthy diet. Our royals dine on high-quality nutrition that fuels growth, supports silky coats, and keeps them ready for their daily “zoomies.”

Healthy cats make healthy kittens, and healthy kittens make happy families—and that’s what keeps our castle gates open.

Play Is Serious Business

Our Maine Coons don’t just play—they train for the Olympics of pouncing. With toys in every corner, things to chase, and castles (okay, cat trees) to conquer, our kittens grow up confident, social, and ready to rule your heart… and your furniture.

🐾 Life at Ribbons & Bows: A Kitten’s Daily Schedule

Every Ribbons & Bows Maine Coon kitten grows up not only loved, but also trained with structure. From the time their paws first toddle out of the nursery, they begin learning the rhythms of daily life—eat, play, nap, repeat—so they are well-prepared for their forever homes.

🍽️ Mealtime Manners

Our kittens eat on a consistent schedule, just like they will in your home. This helps them learn patience, keeps tummies balanced, and ensures they are at the right weight for their age. They are introduced to both wet and dry kitten food, and water is always fresh and available. By the time they leave, they understand mealtime routine and look forward to it.

🎉 Play with Purpose

Play isn’t random—it’s training in disguise. Feather wands teach them to chase and pounce, balls encourage coordination, and puzzle toys stimulate those clever Maine Coon minds. We schedule play sessions after meals to mimic their natural hunting instincts: stalk, catch, eat, and then rest. Kittens learn to share toys, respect boundaries, and even come when called by name.

💤 Nap Time (Yes, Royals Rest Too)

After every grand adventure comes a royal snooze. Our kittens are encouraged to nap in cozy beds, soft blankets, or designated perches. This gives them structure and helps them develop calm, secure habits. Naps also recharge their growing bodies and minds so they wake up ready to interact with people again.

📚 Gentle Training Every Day

Alongside their daily schedule, we begin basic litter training, scratching post practice, and gentle handling exercises. They learn that baths, nail trims, and combing are part of royal life—normal and stress-free.

✨ By the time your kitten is ready to join you, they come with more than a pedigree and health guarantee—they come with a sense of rhythm and routine that makes the transition into your home smoother and happier.
