Meet Ava

Her Color & Markings

Ava is a striking black silver mackerel tabby. Her coat has a clear, cool silver background covered with bold black mackerel markings — narrow, flowing stripes that create the beautiful tiger-like pattern associated with this tabby type.

Her markings include the classic tabby “M” on her forehead, dark lines around her eyes that look like natural black eyeliner, a warm brick-red nose, dark paw pads or “toe beans,” and beautifully defined facial markings.

Her copper eyes add warmth against the cool silver and black of her coat, while her developing ear furnishings and long whiskers complete her distinctive Maine Coon expression.

As Ava's adult coat continues to develop, her longer fur and increasing coat depth should make that silver-and-black contrast even more impressive.
